VISA INFORMATION

Some nationalities may require a visa for entry into Germany.

The information given here is for guidance only. No responsibilty is accepted for errors, changes / ommisions. It is the traveller's responsibilty to check entry requirements with their local German embassy and to provide the correct documentation before travelling.

Visa entry requirements for Germany

Table of countries whose citizens require/do not require visas to enter Germany

1) The entry "yes" against a country's name means its citizens always require a visa to enter Germany.

2) The entry "no" against a country's name means its citizens do not require a visa to enter Germany. Without a visa, however, they may not stay longer than three months every half-year or take up gainful employment requiring a work permit.

Excepted are citizens of European Union member states (marked with "*").

"****": Holders of SAR passports (Hong Kong Special Administrative Region passports) are exempt from the visa requirement.

"*****": British Nationals (Overseas) with corresponding BN(O) passports are also exempt from the visa requirement.

 

How to apply for a letter of invitation

In order to be issued with a visa for Germany your embassy may require that you provide a letter of invitation and documentation to show that you work in the snack food / nuts industry and will be attending SNACKEX 09 as a buyer. Please check with your local embassy to establish exactly what is required.
